Given how special Hurst Park Primary School in Molesey is, nominating their Principal, Louise Thorndycraft, to join a national celebration of ‘Education Champions’ with Schools Minister, Damian Hinds, was fantastic.
Hurst Park’s use of technology in the classroom is absolutely cutting edge, especially to help those with special needs or those struggling. It’s such a great example of the Leo Academy Trust’s 21st Century approach to education.
Our Plan for Esher and Walton includes securing state of the art schools that are ‘good’ and ‘outstanding’. When Conservatives went into government in 2010, 69% of schools in our area were ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’. Now, that figure is 93%. We have to keep this progress going and get even more investment in our local schools. 100% of our schools need to be ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’, which is all part of my plan.
