I invited our local MP and Surrey Councillors to visit the site of the recent tragedy on Molesey Road where a cyclist lost their life. We've agreed a plan to make sure it never happens again, including working to improve:
- Disgraceful road surface
- Volume of HGV drivers tuning in and out of Lyon Close
- Parking bays that force cyclists to weave from the side and to the middle of the road
- The poor enforcement of the change from 40 to 30 mph
- Non existent road markings
