Campaign win! We’ve made Elmbridge Council start addressing poor local social housing, including a new "Tenants' Charter".
Many people have been in touch about poor experiences living in homes managed by PA Housing, as well as large charge increases (despite the government’s cap on social rent increase). Local Conservatives put forward a plan to force the Council to take action, including:
- Create a new ‘Tenants’ Charter’ to raise living standards
- Improve PA Housing’s approach to housing maintenance
- Require PA Housing provide data so they can be held to account on the service to local people
- Ensure the Council starts tackling poor treatment and standards whenever it arises
